Tough as they come by SSG Travis Mills

I love to read biographies and autobiographies. This particular book was heartwarming and motivational. Sergeant Mills served in Iraq and Afghanistan a total of three times. On his final tour he sustained many injuries. He had a difficult time understanding and getting use to not having arms and legs. However, he never gave up. He had such a great support system that walked along his journey with him. This book was very touching. I received my copy from bloggingforbooks.com.

Loving

Loving is so heartbreaking but loving all at once. The obstacles the Mr. and Mrs. Loving had to face are unbelievable. The love they had for one another is so warming and amazing. The way the laws were outrageous and ridiculous. To think that our nation was so cruel. This couples love was misunderstood by not only the law, but by friends and family as well. However, they did have a few who stood by them and followed them along their journey to a happy and healthy life together. This movie shows that love conquers all!

Bestie by Leah Reena Goren

I never received my copy of the book and I waited by the door every time UPS shows up, but they come with no book. I wanted a copy so bad to read. My daughter, who lives many miles away, has it and says it's a must read. So if I receive and/or buy the book I will update my review. bloggingforbooks.com

Patient Seven

I wouldn't categorize Patient Seven as a horror movie. I would categorize it more as a thriller/suspense. It began slower than I thought. It did however change it's pace and its content within about 10 minutes. I never seen the ending coming. At first I didn't know if I would finish the movie, but I pushed myself too and boy am I glad I did. I recommended my husband to watch this movie and he was pretty happy with it himself. He normally doesn't like these types of movies, but this one kept him on the front of his seat. A must watch if you like suspense. Let me know what you guys think of it! Enjoy!

The Bus Driver

This movie was out of this world with a lot of action. Not only was there a lot of crime and punishment, but there was a lot of laughter. I thought when I first began to watch it that it would be a slow starting movie, but it started off with suspense. It's down to earth. It does however have some nudity in it. I recommended my husband to watch it since he likes action. Hope you guys get a chance to watch it. Let me know what you think!

Nourishing Meals by Alissa Segersten and Tom Malterre

Nourishing meals isn't just about cooking. It's about being healthy! I've learned about gluten and how it effects one's body. I was amazed by how many recipes were involved in making such a wonderful book. I've learned so much about healthy eating in a fun filled way.
Each chapter has a variety of recipes that gives ingredient tips and/or nutritional tips. Before each recipe it states what the recipe is free of and how many servings it makes. This book is awesome and covers just about everything you can possible think of.
There are a few pictures throughout the book, which make the book a colorful piece. Nourishing meals also gives tips on preserving food, resources, and recommendations.
I found this book to be outstanding in all areas. It targets everyone not just one style or age of person. I received this book from bloggingforbooks.com.

Far Afield: Rare food enocunters from around the world By Shane Mitchell

Far Afield is filled with astonishing pictures. The scenery alone is just beautiful and impressive. While flipping through the book looking at just the pictures I felt as if I was at peace. I felt like I was right there in the moment. Just amazing.
I found the book to be diversely impressive. I could have never imagined something so unique and successful as this book. The recipes that I tried are amazing. Not only could I make them for my family for dinner, but they also could be stored for a longer life span. It's like going on a world road trip, but not leaving your kitchen. A wonderful book with an amazing picture illustration.

Alexander Hamilton's Guide to Life

While I'm not typically one to pick up a random book on a historical figure, this book snatched up my attention and it's so much fun and such a worthy read! Hamilton really comes to life through Wilser's narratives and tidbits -- some picked from his own actual research that you won't find elsewhere. So much of the Hamilton story is still appropriate today, and this book surely gave me a better understanding of Hamilton the founding father as well as Hamilton the man. My son is actually reading this book now and I must say to see any teenager pick up a book just because is a priceless moment. So do yourself or child a favor and get this book! I received this book from blogginforbooks.com.

Kanye West owes me $300 By Jensen Karp

Kanye West owes me $300 is hysterical and down to earth. Mr. Karp tells his side of how things went down between him and other rappers. It tells about his challenges that he had to conquer. This book is written for the young and the hip hop world. Many teens would appreciate the hip hop world more after reading this book. I received this book for bloggingforbooks.com.

Marked In Ink By Megan Massacre

Marked In Ink is a coloring book that involves creativity at its best. I find that it's easy to get distracted when doing many things, however with Marked In Ink you are caught up with every line and every shape. You're being mindful about the moment you are in and you tend to loose yourself. These are pictures that are full of life without color, then when you add color everything comes to reality. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a little get away, but loves the creativity in life. I received this book from bloggingforbooks.com.

Girl Interrupted By Susanna Kaysen

Susanna Kaysen was a young woman lost in her own world looking for herself. She longed to find who she really was. Girl Interrupted touches base on mental health issues that may effect your life or someone you love. I found that this book hit home. I live with Borderline Personality Disorder and Girl Interrupted help me to understand some of my own issues. Susanna Kaysen was able to better understand herself and her needs and wants. I recommend this book and the movie.
